Today on MSN someone began talking to me I hadn't talked to ina while and th first thing brought up was a link for a "BLOCK CHECKER" . Curiosity overtook me and I'm now here asking for Help for removing this virus completely.
My Avast! Program has suddenly detected a virus from the remains of what I thought I had deleted from my computer.
Win32:Trojan-gen. {VB} Is the Virus/Worm that was found.
If anyone can help in anyways it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.
[*]Unzip it to its own folder on your desktop. [*]Boot your computer to safe mode by rebooting and tapping the F8 button repeatedly until it brings up a boot menu. From that menu, select Safe Mode by using the arrow keys to highlight it then pressing enter. [*]Once in safe mode open the Blockrem folder on your desktop and double-click "blockrem.bat" (this is the file with the gear icon) to run it. [*]Once it is running please follow the onscreen instructions. [*]Reboot in normal mode and post a HijackThis log.

hey. Im also having problems with the block checker thing. i thought i had gotten rid of it with my antivirus/antispyware program however, my computer seems to have gotten slower and i cant go on any antivirus websites.... i read that this virus often wont allow you to go on these websites. i have tried the blockrem thing and other programs similar to that. but they just say no files found. i dont know what to do. it would be awsome if you had any ideas as to what to do.
