I'm going crazy trying to remove the downloader virus.
 
I try to remove the file (which is in the windows/system32 folder and is a .dll file) but it says it cannot because it is in use.
 
I can't figure out the process that is using it to shut it down.
 
I've done hijackthis, adware, webroot, norton, Spybot S&D all with no luck
 
in safe mode out of safe mode

I'm no pro but this may help out anyone trying to help you,

Don't try fixing it, or anything, wait till a professional tells you what to do.

Please download VundoFix.exe to your C:\.

* Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
* Put a check next to Run VundoFix as a task.
* You will receive a message saying vundofix will close and re-open in a minute or less. Click OK
* When VundoFix re-opens, click the Scan for Vundo button.
* Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
* In case it says that nothing was been found, Right click the list box (white box) in the main VundoFix window.
* Select “[7b]Add More Files?” from the menu that comes up. This will open a new VundoFix window.
* In the Window: copy and paste next in the first field: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\bios866.dll
* Click the “Add Files” button.
* Click the "Close Window" button.
* Click the Remove Vundo button.
* You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
* Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
* When completed, it will prompt that it will shutdown your computer, click OK.
* Turn your computer back on.

. Start hijack and click on "do a system scan only"

. Tick off the following lines and click on "fix checked"

to delete the file/folder caused by the virus, u can delete using the BartPE Life CD. You just boot the computer using that CD..
