Somehow, my roommate's computer got infected with all of these. She uses avast!, which alerted her to the issue but somehow did not prevent the infection.
she's been talking about reformatting the boot drive recently anyways, so I have a basic question: are these viruses only going to be on the boot (C:) drive, or is it possible/likely that they will have migrated to the extra, internal data drives? On every scan, we've only seen the viruses in the C: drive, but I wanted to check with people who know more about this than I do before deciding that reformatting the C: drive will do the trick (since she was considering doing it anyways).
