hi!

ok so here's my problem. I, like so many other people on this site, cannot access my task manager.

Everytime i start my computer. There's an error message that comes up saying onoes.exe and b.exe could not be opened. I currently have bearshare on my computer and I had limewire (which i deleted). These programs also start running automatically and would not close everytime I try. Also, a bunch of crazy files keep downloading "themselves" on my computer, and everytime I delete them, they just keep coming back.

and performed all the required scans - CCleaner , Ad-Adware, and Spybot.

Here's my log file after completing these scans. Please help me. I have KillBox downloaded on my computer but I have no idea what any of this means so therefore I do not kno what should be deleted. Thanks in advance!

Hi,

You need to uninstall "Need2Find" and "IZATRINI.com" if they're listed in your Add/Remove Programs.
then make sure their folders are gone.

1. Fix these entries in hijackthis:(some will comeback or hijackthis can't fix them but don't worry)

2. Open Killbox.
*Select the "Delete on Reboot" option.
*Copy the file names below to the clipboard by highlighting them and pressing Control-C:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\svchost.exe
C:\Windows\WinExec.exe

*Return to Killbox, go to the File menu, and choose "Paste from Clipboard".
*Click the red-and-white "Delete File" button. Click "Yes" at the Delete on Reboot prompt. Click "No" at the Pending Operations prompt. If the computer doesn't restart, just restart manually.

3. Your log is showing purityscan/OIN
If you do not see any icon for "OIN" or "(program) by OIN" in Add/Remove Programs, please download their stand-alone uninstaller.

4. a). Please download Brute Force Uninstaller to your desktop.
http://www.merijn.org/files/bfu.zip
Right click the BFU folder on your desktop, and choose Extract All
Click "Next"
In the box to choose where to extract the files to,
Click "Browse"
Click on the + sign next to "My Computer"
Click on "Local Disk (C:)
Click "Make New Folder"
Type in BFU
Click "Next", and Uncheck the "Show Extracted Files" box and then click "Finish".

b). Download Alcra PLUS Remover.

Save it in the same folder you made earlier (c:\BFU).

Reboot to Safe Mode.
Then, please go to Start > My Computer and navigate to the C:\BFU folder.
Start the Brute Force Uninstaller by doubleclicking BFU.exe
Behind the "scriptline to execute" field click the "folder icon" and select alcanshorty.bfu
Press Execute and let the program do it’s job. (You ought to see a progress bar if you did this correctly.)
Wait for the complete script execution box to pop up and press OK.
Press exit to terminate the BFU program.

Reboot into normal windows and post a new hijackthis log to be reviewed.

<font color=blue>HIIIII!!! OMG... thank you soooo much. Ok so now my task manager works again. I did everything you said and this is my new HijackThis log.

Also, I should mention that I no longer use AOL and would like to remove it completely from my computer but there's a an AOL folder that just refuses to be deleted. It keeps saying that one of it's files is being used by another program and I need to close it. Except, I dont kno how to do this because I am no longer using AOL on my computer.

AND.. lolz.. if you see any other process thingy that I should remove.. meaning that it's useless, whether it's a toolbar or whatever, please tell me. Because at this point. I just want to fix my computer, I dont care which programs I need to delete. Oh and do you think i should uninstall Bearshare from my computer? is this where i got infected?

YES, you should uninstall BearShare, that's where your problem started.
If you must use a P2P program then use WinMx.

So you have nothing do to with AOL? then remove any entries related to it.
What aol folder is it you can't remove?

Try running AboutBuster and we'll see if it finds anything in your system:
Please download About:Buster 6.0.

Then unzip all files from the zip folder to a folder or your desktop. Start it by double-clicking on the "aboutbuster.exe" icon and then click on the "Update" button to check for new updates. If any updates exist, please install them.

Exit AboutBuster and reboot into safe mode.
Once in safe mode double-click on the "aboutbuster.exe" icon again and click on the "Begin Removal" button. When it has finished scanning you will see a message stating that the Scan Completed and you should press OK. When the next information window opens press the Exit button. Then finally press the OK button again when it tells you a log has been saved.

Hi!

Ok I did delete my Bearshare program and all other folders that came with it. I'll look into WinMx. Thanks for the hint!

About the AOL. Well no I don't use it anymore so I tried my best to delete everything AOL (including the folder I couldn't before due to my friend's help today, by going into Administrative Tools > Services and disabling the AOL program that was running). However, there's an entry on my HijackThis log that just refuse to be removed. When I check it and click Fix, it just comes back again the next time I do a scan. This one:

O23 - Service: AOL TopSpeed Monitor (AOL TopSpeedMonitor) - Unknown owner - C:\Program Files\Common Files\AOL\TopSpeed\2.0\aoltsmon.exe (file missing)

I use AIM messenger so I didn't check that as a file to delete on my HijackThis.

All others you suggested, I did.

To remove the entry above:
Start > Run > type in

sc stop AOL TopSpeedMonitor
press Enter
and type in

sc delete AOL TopSpeedMonitor
press Enter
