A while ago, my computer started becoming very slow. So i scanned for viruses and found a few cookies and spyware. I deleted those, but my computer is still quite slow. There is also a weired sound that occures every once and a while.... any suggestions??
The wierd sound can't do anything about that but,! the slow computer is something else. I would first suggest a disk clean and then a defrag.
delete all temporary internet files. Also if your familiar with it you can go into msconfig and turn off any unneccesary programs and apps on startup. what Os are you running I can help more if I knew that.
actually that does not sound stupid, the Question should be what version of windows are you running? (that's your OS) short for operating system. keep in touch.
try this download ad-aware 6 and run it I'll bet your loaded down with spyware. Also you could delete your cookies, you do that by going to your toll bar, click on tools, internet options, delete cookies, and temporary internet files. need to do a disk clean, with restore on, under more options tab when the scan is done, click all restore points. that should help considerable with your computer speed.
When I first got my current computer I had that same "bloop" sound. It kept occuring randomly until I enabled the XP firewall. Since then it hasn't happened.
