After I put in my computer password and the computer says loading your personal settings a blue screen comes up stating:

"A problem has beeen detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

The problem seems ro be caused by the following file: Beep.SYS

PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED-AREA

If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:

Check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed. If this is a new installation, ask your hardware or software manufacture for any windows updates you might need.

If problems continue, disable or remove any newly installed hardware or software. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing. If you need to use safe mode to remove or disable components, restrarr your computer, press F8 to select Advanced Startup Options, and then select Safe Mode.

Technical information:

*** STOP: 0x00000050 (0x81000078, 0x00000000, 0xF880E2FF, 0x00000000)

***     Beep.SYS - Address F880E2FF base at F880D000, DateStamp 48d397f5

Beginning dump of physical memory
Physical memory dump complete.
Contact your system administrator or technical support group for further assistance."

I never made it to the desktop.

In order to get the information above I had to press F8 at the startup and then press "Disable automatic restart on system failure". I have tryed every mode in the F8 menu.

After I downloaded the virus it brought up a virus program I didn't have before and didn't download so I right clicked it and then clicked something else in that menu, it then restarted the computer and I have not been able to get onto the desktop since.

Please Help,confused
Casey
