Hello,

I too was infected with the same antivirusxp2008 and I see it seems to be a common problem in this forum. So I read the other forum members advice on this forum and I downloaded the mbam program. I removed the contents and mbam said to reboot because some files were not able to be removed. I rebooted and my system would not start. It just went into system starting forever. I hit the power button and restarted my system hitting F8. When in F8 mode I had to use the start system from previous last running mode feature or my system would not start. If I tried safe mode my screen just looked black with safe mode around the edges. Every time I try to reboot I have to do this F8 previous last working mode to start my system. What can I do to fix this problem? I have all logs saved from running mbam. Thanks for any help you can give me.

I tried system restore first before I even came to this forum but all of my restore points were deleted by my antivirusxp2008. So I typed in how to remove it and I came to this forum. I'll download and run the scan tools you mentioned and send the reports as you asked for. Thank you for your help.
