Yeah...I got it yesterday in an e-mail in Belgium from a "trusted" source but it was picked up by Norton which had just one minute beforehand updated itself...
I have the netsky virus and bullguard caught it in 1406 files. they are all in quarantine and i just downloaded the removal tool. do i need to re-install the items in quarantine, or are they automatically put back into my system?
There is a removal tool for the virus Win32.Netsky.D@mm and also complete information about this virus.
In order to remove it you should restart the computer in Safe Mode and run the removal tool.
However, if the infected items are located inside archives the removal tool can't remove the virus. In this case we recommend you to perform a full scan with BullGuard and send the scan log (the file named vscan.log located in the BullGuard folder) at support@bullguard.com in order to analyze it and to provide you with the best solution to remove the virus from your computer.

just logged on to my outlook folder and received another 2 spam deliveries with the Netsky virus but the big bulldog spotted them and see them off! WELL DONE BULLGUARD!!!
Netsky.insertreallyhighlettervaluehere is supposed to be hitting April 12-16 or something and it's targeting P2P (mainly Kazaa) and DOS'ing sites.
If I ever found out where these little b*tches lived, I'd walk there myself and club them repeatedly. The overall pain and agony they've caused IT staff everywhere (including my workplace where my coworkers and I got to check/update over 300 PCs)...it's just unbelievable. Insults in the code, back and forth, causing irritation and regardless of how smart some of these guys are, why isn't that talent used for a GOOD cause?!
