Computer slow while bullguard updates at startup

Hi all

Win xp sp3

When i first boot up Computer bullguard updates and the computer runs very slowly for 20+ mins. Task manager shows bullguardscanner.exe running. Is this normal. I have tried to do a reinstall but this froze part way through and had to to a restore .

This issue could occur on older computers, especially if you have other programs starting at windows logon. Try and restart the computer when this happens.
How much RAM memory do you have?

THanks for the reply. Yes its an older computer.I have 632mb ram. Virtual mem 945. I have now managed to reinstall but no improvement.

BullGuard does required at least 1GB of available RAM memory, as seen here:

Please consider a RAM upgrade, since it's the cheapest way to upgrade your computer without having to purchase a new one.
