Hi All, Not sure if anyone can help with this !, my problems started when I tried to upgrade my Bullguard anti virus from version 7.0 to version 8 !, I did exactly as was instructed i.e. deleted old version then tried to install new version, a pop kept coming up when it was trying to install the firewall settings saying this software has not been microsoft accredited and could make my microsoft software unstable !, Bullguard assured me it was ok to click on continue,which I did but after about 6 times clicking ok, my computer automatically shutdown I then had to do a system restore to be able to use windows again !!!!, I tried this about 3 times and the same thing happened every time !!!!, I have been in touch with bullguard and sent them a log of my system but they have not been able to tell me why this happened but assured they are looking into it !!!,since then strange little things have been happening on my comp like my flash drive with roboform wouldn't work straighaway and now it keeps saying this drive would work better in a 2.0 USB drive a list is available here !, it never did that before also Java doesn't seem to work properly anymore something to do with Java runtime environment, does anyone have any idea might be happening and how i can reinstall java and exactly what i need to install ?,also my problems with bullguard, do i maybe need to reinstall my computer windows software from scratch as it maybe unstable and that is what is causing the problems ??? This will obviously mean i have reinstall everything but at least i would have a stable system, I can post a log if anyone needs one to look at one just tell me what i need to do , I would appreciate any help on this or ideas as to how to make things work ok again, mostly everything works ok but just doesn't seem like it used to, many thanks for any help you can give !!!!
I have the same problem. I received the same message "this software has not been microsoft accredited" and the same 4 times for the "Bullguard Miniport". After the installation Windows XP can not start !
I tried everything Bullguard asked me to do, IThey said at first that maybe PC Tools Threatfire was conflicting with Bullguard so I deleted it and tried re installing Bullguard with no success, everytime it got to the point of installing the firewall miniport my screen went blank and computer shutdown !!!!,I sent numerous logs etc to Bullguard but they didn't really know what was stopping Bullguard 8.0 installing !, after about 4 days of trying various things as advised by Bullguard they asked me to delete windows live care from the add/remove programs and also delete K9 Web Protection which I had installed, I then tried re installing Bullguard 8.0 and everything installed successfully !!!!!, I have since tried re installing K9 Web Protection after upgrading Bullguard to version 8 and my windows wouldn't boot up so K9 obviously doesn't agree with Bullguard 8.0 contrary to what Bullguard say !!!!! ,If you have K9 installed I would uninstall K9 via add/remove programs and also windows live one care then do a search to see if any files are left and delete them, then try re installing Bullguard 8.0,it worked for me and I must admit I like the look of the new support settings !!!!!!, I like Bullguard and wanted to keep it so am glad all has worked now, It would be intersting to know if you get yours working and upgraded successfully,all the best
Just to note, make sure you uninstall bullguard 7.0 via the instructions on Bullguards website before trying to install Bullguard 8.0, hope all goes well , look forward to hearing from you.
