I represent Privacy PC project dedicated to computer security research and software evaluation. Throughout 2012 we conducted lab tests of security software from the industry’s prevalent categories, and came up with the annual rating thereof.
Regarding the lengthy scan, please note BullGuard uses a smart-scan system. This means that the first scan takes longer than usual, as all files are thoroughly scanned. Once the scan is completed, all checked files are cached and excluded from subsequent scans. Therefore, the scanning time is greatly reduced as only new and modified files are scanned.
As a small addition, the Support service (remote assistance sessions included) is free for both paid and trial users. Moreover, it is also available on social media channels such as our Facebook page and blog.
