Hi there,
We just discovered this virus apparently affecting this file and it won't let us delete it.  I can't find any internet info on this virus.  Anybody know about it?

You'll have to manually delete the infected files found in the c:\_Restore folder, they are part of the Win ME backup (those backup files were created when the system was infected).

In order to empty the c:\_RESTORE folder of your Windows Me system, I advise you to consult and follow the official method proposed by Microsoft. Here is the link:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;q263455

I am also sending you this solution (in brief):
1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel .
2. Double-click System, and then click the Performance tab.
3. Click File System .
4. Adjust the System Restore disk space use slider to the approximate lower amount, and then click Apply .
5. Then restart your computer and disable the System Restore feature. In order to do that please go to: 'My computer (right click) > Properties > Performance > File System > Troubleshooting' and check the last row option (Disable system restore).
6. Then restart once again your system and the files should be removed.
