I got an antivirus warning from AVG this afternoon, so I did a complete scan.  The scan finished, and directed me to reboot my system, which I did.
 
Now, I can't get beyond the Windows XP screen.  When the logon gets to that point, it reboots the PC.  I've tried safe mode, and every other F8 option I can; nothing works.  I've tried booting from the Norton AV CD, but that isn't working either.

Seems you need to repair your system. I assume it is XP !
